(During Swiftpaw's apprentice ceremony) Swiftpaw's heart was beating fast as his leader spoke. "Do you promise to protect your clan with all your life?" His leader spoke deeply. "I do." He mewed. "Then from now on you are known as the medicine cat apprentice." The leader rested his chin on Swiftpaw's shoulder. Swiftpaw liked the leaders shoulder and heard everyone cheer. "Swiftpaw, Swiftpaw, Swiftpaw!" They cheered. Swiftpaw was so happy. "Finally an apprentice." He thought. "I will be the best medicine cat ever."
